Comments: Australian Military Forces White Metal Rising Sun hat badge (1948-53) (Royal Australian Armoured Corps). Complete with 2 lugs. Worn between 1948 and 1953 by several Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC) regiments between 1948 and mid 1950s.
Known to be worn by 1st Armoured Regiment, 6th New South Wales Mounted Rifles, 7th/21st Australian Horse and possibly other units before they received their own regimental hat badge. Worn on a black beret.
