DFC London Gazette 23rd March 1945. Flight Lieutenant Humphery has completed numerous operations against the enemy, in the course of which he has invariably displayed the utmost fortitude, courage, and devotion to duty. The DFC was presented to him by the Governor General of Australia at Parliament House, Melbourne 16th Mar 1949.
