1st Combat Service Support Battalion (1 CSSB) provides combat service support to the 1st Brigade in order to sustain mechanised operations in the defence of Australia and its interests.
It comprises Health, Logistic Support, Maintenance, Supply and Transport Companies. 1 CSSB is made up of five different sub-units; Logistic Support, Maintenance, Health, Supply and Transport.
The Battalion operates heavy haulage equipment such as Mack trucks and tank transporters, to support the Brigade’s operations across Australia.
