1st Signal Regiment (1 Sig Regt) provides Command and Control networks, and Command and Control support to Headquarters 1st Division (HQ 1 DIV) and the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters (DJFHQ) in order to meet command and control requirements during force preparation and the conduct of specific operations.

1 Sig Regt is comprised of two squadrons:

101st Signal Squadron (101 Sig Sqn) provides the command and control networks capability. The Squadron facilitates both wide and narrowband communications to HQ 1 Div.

Logistic Support Squadron was formed in 2008 by the amalgamation of Support Squadron and Technical Support Squadron (workshops). This Squadron provides the command and control support capability, playing an integral role in the provision of Catering, Transport, Quartermaster and Medical support to HQ 1 Div, including associated Direct Command Units co-located at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, Queensland.
