Comments: Imperial Service Medal named to Frederick HAWKES.
Boxing medal named to F. HAWKES 3rd Dec 1921. Silver hallmark JF.
Ephemera consists of his WWII certificate of discharge NX9139 Cpl Frederick HAWKES. Twenty one page certificate available via the NAA web site, which shows entitlement to the 1939-45 Star & Africa Star.
Two hand written letters signed off ‘Fred’. One two page letter dated 15 Nov 1942, that makes reference to Frankie being KIA.
This grouping has great research potential and hopefully a reunite with his second world war medals.
