The 1st Signal Regiment (1 Sig Regt) provides Communication and Information Systems (CIS) and Combat Service Support (CSS) to Headquarters 1st Division and the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters in order to meet Command and Control requirements during force preparation and contingency operations. 1 Sig Regt is required to maintain high readiness force elements to ensure it is capable of providing short notice operational support throughout the year.
