The 3rd Army Tank Battalion was a unit of the 3rd Army Tank Brigade, 3rd Armoured Division during the Second World War. It was formed in May 1942 and was disbanded in March 1944. It was formed originally from the 3rd Armoured Regiment and became the 3rd Australian Army Tank Battalion. A nice gap filler.
